The Hawks 6th Man Section is a group of the craziest Hawks fans in Atlanta. It could be compared to a student section at a college sporting event. They stand, cheer and have a blast the whole game. The group is open for anyone to try out and be a part of.

Members of this group are awarded free Hawks tickets based on availability, loyalty, and overall spirit. While coming to every Hawks game is not a requirement, consistency of attendance is looked highly upon when tickets are in higher demand. The same goes with attire; wearing a costume is not required, but definitely fun. Vocal enthusiasm and Hawks apparel are the minimum that we ask of you, be loud and proud (but keep it clean.)

Parking is available at many street lots around Philips Arena. The Kia 6th Man tryout will take place in the Hawks Practice Gym located on the service level of Philips Arena. Driving directions to the entrance are below:

From the North

- 75/85 South, Exit Williams Street, follow Williams straight off the exit (Exit 249C)

- Turn RIGHT on Andrew Young International Blvd.

- Next Light – Centennial Olympic Park Drive and go LEFT

- Go up to Marietta Street -- 2 Lights (CNN Center is at the corner)

- Turn RIGHT on Marietta Street

- Turn LEFT at the second light onto Park Avenue West

- Cross over the railroad tracks and follow road curve to the left

- Stay on the main road as you cross over large speed bumps (Philips Arena will be on your right).

- Enter through the door to the right of the Media Entrance. Arena security will be at the door.

From the South

- 75/85 North, Andrew Young International Blvd. (Exit 248C – One way street)

- Turn LEFT Centennial Olympic Park Drive

- Turn RIGHT on Marietta Street

- Turn LEFT at the second light onto Park Avenue West

- Cross over the railroad tracks and follow road curve to the left

- Stay on the main road as you cross over large speed bumps (Philips Arena will be on your right).

- Enter through the door to the right of the Media Entrance. Arena security will be at the door.
