The City of Raleigh Community Engagement Division sponsors the Citizens Leadership Academy which is a series of classes offered to help Raleigh residents develop skills as neighborhood and community leaders.

Applications are being accepted for the Spring 2020 Session beginning in March 2020. Class capacity is 20 per class session, if application is received after capacity is reached your application will be placed on the wait-list for the next available class.

Citizens Leadership Academy classes meet 9 consecutive weeks from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursdays at the Five Points Center for Active Adults (2000 Noble Road Raleigh, 27608).
Classes are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings. A light meal is provided from 5:30-6:00 p.m.

Class Dates:

March  - 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th

April - 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th

Graduation Date: May 14th, 2020 : Five Points Activity Center , 2000 Noble Rd, Raleigh, NC 

Residents of the City of Raleigh and its areas of extraterritorial jurisdiction receive priority for admission into the Citizens Leadership Academy and attend free of charge. Other residents of Wake County are accepted into Citizens Leadership Academy depending on available space for a fee of $100 for three modules. Fees are due at least three days before the first class.
