Learning Objectives:
1) To understand the benefits of participation in adaptive recreational activities, recreation as a right, the role of recreation in different intervention programs and professional role in promoting participation in recreation.
2) To learn about the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that influence participation in structured and unstructured adaptive recreational activities.
3) To acquire awareness on the different stakeholders that need to be involved in the development of a successful recreation promotion plan.
4) To understand and evaluate the benefits of participating in an adaptive recreation program.
