Program Details:
Afterschool/OST sites will receive:
- Three 4-hour training workshops, starting January 2014 and ending May 2014
- Three tool booklets with activities to implement at your site
- One observation and feedback session per enrolled site to ensure proper implementation of the EL tools and activities
- Ongoing technical assistance
- A consistent CalSAC Trainer to provide training, observation, and technical assistance
Afterschool/OST site commitment:
- Submit agency agreement form
- Schedule three 4-hour trainings with your EL Trainer
- Schedule one 2-hour observation per enrolled site with your EL Trainer
- Submit agreement forms for each staff person participating in the project
- Provide staff appropriate planning time for delivery of at least one EL tool or activity within 4 weeks of each training
- Participation in external evaluation conducted by Public Profit for the duration of the project
Cost of participation per site: $100, waivers available based on need.
Application Requirements:
- Agency must have EL students enrolled in their program
- Agency must serve school-age children and youth in an out-of-school time program
