Snapshot of a Day in the Life of Your Library 2011 |
Join Illinois Libraries on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 and participate in “Snapshot of a Day in the Life of Your Library” by collecting statistics, comments, and photographs from the day to provide indisputable proof that libraries consistently provide invaluable services to our community. Libraries can use the collected information from the “Snapshot Day” to promote the library to local elected officials, library boards, principals, State Representatives and Senators, and others to show that libraries are busier and providing for tomorrow’s needs with yesterday’s resources.
Libraries can use these results in articles for local newspapers and library newsletters as well as in letters to stakeholders and in promotional materials for the library.
Please Note: If you are reporting from a Library System, please feel free to email your data to kristy@ila.org. Example statistics: "____ delivery routes ran yesterday and our drivers stopped at __ libraries. The courier vans traveled ___ miles, which is equivalent to a one-way trip to ___________. Drivers delivered ____ items to our libraries and picked up ____ items."
