The precast parking garage structure shown here has seven (7) structured levels, approx. 1,200 spaces, approx. 520,500 sf of supported structured area. It has two (2) precast framed helix ramps, two (2) double bank precast framed elevator towers and six (6) precast framed stair towers. The East River Plaza Parking Garage is located at 116th-119th Streets, Harlem, NY. Built in 2006 by General Contractor, RC Dolnar and Precaster:Blakeslee Prestress, Inc. The project Engineer was WSP Cantor Seinuk, Architect:Greenberg Farrow Architecture. Owner: TIAGO Holdings LLC Brooklyn, New York.

Speaker's Bio:

Rita Seraderian P.E., has been the Executive Director of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute Northeast for the past 21 years. She has organized, hosted and spoke at numerous seminars and workshops on the use of precast/prestressed concrete products and systems throughout New England and New York. She provides design assistance on all aspects of precast concrete construction. She has facilitated the PCI Northeast Bridge Technical Committee, which its membership is made up of the New England and New York Departments of Transportation. Their primary function is to develop regional standards and techniques on precast bridge systems. She became a Fellow of the Precast Prestressed Concrete Institute in 2009. She is a graduate with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Massachusetts and a M.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, MA. She is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Massachusetts.
