Thank you for taking the time to take the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority’s (TRCA) survey on Trail Use at the Humber Source Woods.

In March of 2010, the TRCA partnered with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) in the protection of the Happy Valley Forest by securing the Humber Source Woods (HSW) for long term conservation. This is the first such collaboration between the NCC and the TRCA and as such represents an important conservation milestone in Ontario.

We are looking for your input on how these lands will be used and managed in the years to come.

The HSW makes up a 21.9 ha property that falls within the Natural Core Area of the Oak Ridges Moraine Plan and is located partially within the Happy Valley Forest Area of Natural and Scientific Interest (ANSI). The property can be reached by walking about 500m east along the Oak Ridges Trail starting from the trail-head at the junction of the 16th Side road allowance and the 7th Concession Rd in King Township.

This survey consists of 16 questions, divided into two sections. The first section pertains to your opinions on the trails and use of the Humber Source Woods. The second section will help us determine who is using the Humber Source Woods.

Remember: There are no right or wrong answers and every response you give is important!

No information that you provide to us will be shared with any third parties and all information that you provide will be kept confidential at all times.

Thank you for taking the time to fill out this survey. Your opinion matters to us!
