Germinating Partnerships: A Survey About Older Adults Access to Community Gardens
1. Introduction: Germinating Partnerships
GenPhilly and Philadelphia Association for Senior Service Administrators (PASSA) have partnered to conduct a survey to assess the aging networks interest level and current activity relating to gardening. As we know, gardening has endless benefits to both the community and the gardener, and we hope to gain a greater understanding of how to support the aging network in building capacity to enhance and/or expand gardening activities. The survey should only take 5-10 minutes and must be completed by January 7.
The results of the survey will be discussed GenPhilly’s next event Germinating Partnerships: Connecting Seniors to Community Gardens on February 1st, 2011 from noon to 2pm at City Hall. The event is supported by PASSA, free, and RSVP is required, as there is a 60 person limit to the space. To RSVP click here.
Should you have any questions about the survey, please feel free to contact Raechel Hammer, Interim Director of PASSA and Vice President of Klein JCC, 215-698-7300, ext. 143 or firstname.lastname@example.org or Kate Clark, Chair, GenPhilly & Planner, Philadelphia Corporation for Aging, 215-765-9000, ext. 5072 or email@example.com.
