MKN 2011: Leadership and Service - Reaching New Heights

Tuesday, April 5th - Friday, April 8th, 2011
Consistent with this year’s theme, we ask that you use your expertise and experience to address themes related to Leadership and Service: Reaching New Heights. Workshop sessions should be informative, motivating, and uplifting so that we as professionals are more equipped to work with students, staff, colleagues and the community.

The due date for submitted proposal forms is Monday, March 14, 2011.

You will be notified by e-mail regarding your Proposal by Monday, March 21, 2011

 Best Practices with Community and Technical Colleges
 Best Practices for Program Administrative Assistants
 Collaboration with Other Educational Programs and Associations
 Financial Literacy Programs for Program Participants
 Learning Programs and Model Practices in Student Programming
 Legality Issues with using Photos and Clip Art
 On-line Tutorial Programs
 Retention/Recruiting Tools
 Strategies for Working with Institutional Administrations
 TRiO and Non-TRiO Collaboration
 Using Technology for Connections and Communications with Program Participants
 Motivating Today’s Students for Success
 Being Personable in a Professional Atmosphere

CALL FOR PROPOSALS:

Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of relevance to the conference theme, tracks and interest to the audience.

Presenters will be notified of proposal acceptance no later then Monday, March 21, 2011.

Presenters are asked to bring equipment they will need for their presentation; e.g., laptops, overhead projector, VCR/DVD combos, etc. MKN cannot pay for rental equipment or connectivity.
