Alan Mann served as a member of the Woodland Board of Education in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He was the President of the Woodland Board of Education when he passed away on August 28, 2001. Alan was a committed member of the Woodland and Gurnee communities. He was a local businessman that also made the time to serve as a precinct committeemen while simultaneously helping to establish a synagogue in Gurnee. He contributed in many ways to all of the families of Gurnee.

In tribute to his contributions, we wish to recognize teachers that not only make a tremendous impact daily in their classroom but impact students, parents and/or families for years. While there are so many outstanding teachers at Woodland and so many that have made a tremendous impact upon students’ lives we ask for your help identifying those teachers that help make Woodland students exceptional. Teachers that exemplify some, many or all of the these characteristics would make excellent nominees.
