International Writing Centers Association Assessment Survey 2012

When the IWCA Assessment SIG started in 2010, members decided to use a biennial survey to capture (1) perceptions of assessment held by the writing center community and (2) assessment needs of our community. This second survey continues to be offered with that purpose in mind. At the end of this survey (Question 11), respondents may agree to allow their anonymous responses to be used in research and publications related to the survey, or they may decline to have their responses included in any sharing of the results. Other than costing individuals their time (approximately 10-20 minutes), we can think of no potential harm participation in this survey may cause. In fact, we believe by sharing their views, writing center community members will contribute to the advancement of insights about assessment in our community.
