This form reflects the latest guidance from the Department of Education. Updated: May 28, 2024

There have been multiple errors within the 2024-2025 FAFSA form affecting students with contributors (parents or spouses) who do not have a Social Security Number (SSN). These errors have made it difficult for these families to submit and complete the 2024-2025 FAFSA form.

If you are a student who has been affected, please know that this is not your fault and that the U.S. Department of Education is working to make sure you can apply for and receive all the financial aid for which you are eligible. Know that personal information submitted through the FAFSA Form is completely protected by federal law and will only be used to calculate your federal financial aid.

Important: Any information you submit through the survey will be entirely confidential and will not collect personally identifiable information. Data collected from the survey will be erased every two weeks.

Your ability to complete the 2024-25 FAFSA form will depend on where you are in the process. Use this guide to determine the next steps you must take to fully complete your 2024-2025 FAFSA form.
