Introduction

Thank you very much for taking the time to complete this survey for Farmers created by researchers in the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine.

To complete our survey designed for Veterinarians, please go to the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/uterinehealthVETS

The aim of this survey is to gain a better understanding of the impact of uterine disease in postpartum cattle and the common methods of diagnosis and treatment. For the purpose of this survey the term “uterine disease” refers to uterine infections that occur after calving (day 0 – day 60 post partum) and which may be commonly known as a “dirty cow” or may present as a cow with “whites”.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. It is important to give responses that relate to your own beliefs and actions. Your answers will not be released to anyone and will remain anonymous. All responses you provide will remain confidential. When the results of the study are reported, you will not be identified by any information that could be used to infer your identity. Only researchers have access to view data collected during this research.

Survey participants have the option to be entered into a prize draw to win a years digital subscription to the Irish Farmers Journal.

If you have any questions about the survey, or if you would like further information please contact Louise Hobbs: louise.hobbs@ucdconnect.ie
