Unlocking the Geffrye |
We want to open up the Geffrye for all our visitors and the local community. By developing our existing buildings and creating new spaces your experience will be transformed and the Geffrye will be protected and preserved for generations to come.
The plans include:
* A new, additional entrance opposite Hoxton station
* Opening up the lower ground and first floors of the main almshouse so you can explore previously unseen parts of the museum
* Much improved access so you can move around the buildings and gardens more easily
* A new gallery, library and collections store
* New learning and events spaces, including a pavilion and studio in the period gardens
