This survey is intended to diagnose how The New School community produces and manages digital media assets on our campus, and to examine ways in which The New School can better support this work and make these materials more readily accessible throughout the community. Digital media assets are digital (binary) files that are not limited to the following: images, graphics, texts, videos, datasets, and audio files.

A working group has been formed at The New School comprised of representatives from Information/Academic Technology, Libraries and Archives, Distributed/Online Education, Audio/Visual Services, Communications, Faculty and one Student/Staff member. The goal is to identify the uses, contexts, methods, quantities, constituencies, and types of digital "stuff" that the university community produces and engages with, and how it impacts outcomes. This survey is one step towards crafting a holistic strategy for how to manage digital assets for our institution in the years to come. The findings of this survey, distilled by the working group, will be presented to University Leadership for their consideration. Thank you for your participation.
