1. TSSA Learning going forward

Changes have been made to the structure of the TSSA Learning team and their ways of working. This will affect both Union Learning Reps and other (non learning) activists who may be also be involved with issues around employer provision of staff training & development. Whether you are a ULR or other activist - please do fill in your area of the survey.

Individual ULRs will now be supported on a day to day basis by their Lead ULR - if one is recognised - and their (Senior) Regional Organiser.

Lead ULRs will be supported by their (Senior) Regional Organiser, as is the case for all other reps.

Other reps engaged in activities coming within the wider training & development agenda (such as our equalities work on discrimination in accessing training at work) will continue to be supported by their (Senior) Regional Organiser.

If you are not sure who your Senior Regional Organiser or Regional Organiser is, do please contact the Helpdesk for this information.

The Learning Team will now offer regular publicised telephone and one to one surgeries (by appointment) for specialist union learning and employer training & development information, advice & guidance.

Lead ULRs will continue to play a key role in driving the learning strategy in TSSA through the Lead ULR Forum, with full elections for the Chair & Vice Chair coming soon.

Please complete the following survey to tell us what specialist learning support & resources you would find useful.

Please note that the Learning Team will no longer be accompanying ULRs to Steering Committees. However Regional Organisers will be briefed on key elements for (L)ULRs who will now be leading up on Steering Committees and, if sufficient need is identified, training workshops on Learning Steering Committees will also be offered.
