* 1. Startup VA is a proposed initiative that will be driven primarily by the actions of Entrepreneurs and other Virginians. The primary objective of Startup VA is to help increase the number of new startup companies and to increase the liklihood of success of those companies in the Commonwealth. The success of Startup VA will be dependent upon those that volunteer time and money to help advance the various objectives that are beginning to coalesce now.

* 2. There are many obstacles in the way of Entrepreneurs and Startups in general. Some of the obstacles are present for every startup, whereas others affect certain segments of startups. In addition to obstacles, there are opportunities & ideas that if put in place could help stimulate more growth opportunities for startups. We need to identify the objectives, either the hurdles we want to break down or the ideas we want to prop up, so that we focus the energy of those working to achieve our mission.
