Special note for Benedictine University Library users: This survey is part of a larger nationwide research project developed and being conducted by The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG.
Benedictine University Library’s participation in the UNCG project enables the Library to look at feedback from its own users and to compare its collective user feedback with that of other peer academic libraries. The Library’s goals are meeting user needs with state-of-the art tools and ideas and continuous improvement of resources and services.

Q: What is the study about?
A: We are interested in examining the highest priority information needs of library patrons. By completing this survey you will help us as researchers and your library understand what is most important to your patrons and how you think they use your library's website.
Q: Why are you asking me?
A: You are being asked to participate in this study as a current library patron.
Q: What will you ask me to do if I agree to be in the study?
A: Your participation in this study will involve completing this survey, which should take no longer than 15-20 minutes to complete.
Q: Is there any audio/video recording?
A: No.
Q: What are the dangers to me?
A: There is minimal risk to participating in this study. A: The potential individual benefit for participation in this study may include the further development and increased usability of your library's website and services that it provides.
Q: Are there any benefits to society as a result of me taking part in this research?
A: Societal benefits from this research study may include the increased usability of your library's website and services, which may increase the overall quality of life for its patrons as applicable.
Q: Will I get paid for being in the study? Will it cost me anything?
A: There will be no payment for participation in this study. As a participant in this study, you will not incur any costs.
Q: How will you keep my information confidential?
A: The results of this research study may be published but names or identities will not be revealed.
Q: What if I want to leave the study?
A: You have the right to refuse to participate or to withdraw at any time, without penalty. If you do withdraw, it will not affect you in any way. If you choose to withdraw, you may request that any of your data which has been collected be destroyed unless it is in a de-identifiable state.
Q: What about new information/changes in the study?
A: If significant new information relating to the study becomes available which may relate to your willingness to continue to participate, this information will be provided to you.
