SITES Interest Survey

SITES Interest Survey - Introduction

Thanks for your interest in SITES!

Please respond to the following brief questions to help us inform future SITES programs and initiatives. This survey should only take a few minutes.

The Sustainable SITES Initiativeā„¢ (SITESā„¢) is a program dedicated to fostering resiliency and transforming land development practices toward regenerative design. It is a joint effort between the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at The University of Texas at Austin, and the United States Botanic Garden. The central message of SITES is that any landscape holds the potential to both improve and regenerate the natural benefits and services provided by ecosystems in their undeveloped state. These benefits - such as the supply and regulation of clean air and water, the provision of food and renewable resources, and the decomposition of waste, to name only a small handful - are essential to the health and well-being of all life on the planet.

Through its rating system, SITES provides a tool that moves away from an either/or mindset that pits conservation against development, to solutions that create regenerative, high-performance landscapes and communities. As urban areas continue to grow, people may increasingly come to depend on these sustainable landscapes in the places where they live and work.
