ShapingNJ Child Care Best Practices Toolkit

Do you have great activity ideas or sample policies you would like to share? Do you want to be involved in a toolkit that would be useful to child care providers? The Child Care Advisory Committee for Shaping NJ is working on a Child Care Best Practices Toolkit for providers from early learning to school age and they need your input. The toolkit is available on the Shaping NJ website at: www.state.nj.us/health/fhs/shapingnj/work/publications/childcaretoolkit.html and is a living document that focuses on nutrition and physical activity areas.

Currently the toolkit focuses on best practices in the areas of nutrition and physical activity but more resources and activity ideas are needed for the school age field. If you have some activity ideas, nutrition ideas, or sample policies that you would like to share with other school age providers, the Shaping NJ committee could use your input.

Please look at the toolkit on the Shaping NJ website under our work and share your ideas and sample policies so we can make this toolkit as effective and resourceful as possible for all child care providers. You may share your ideas and policy examples in our comments section below. Thank you, in advance, for your help.
