Introduction
Natural Capital Economics (NCEconomics) has been engaged by the Secretariat of Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) to identify a favourable entry point somewhere in Fiji, Samoa, or Papua New Guinea to establish a non-exclusive and regional recycling initiative for End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) and consumer white goods (these products will be referred to as bulky scrap metal in this survey for short).

Examples of ELVs include cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, and boats.
Examples of consumer white goods include refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, and air conditioners.

This survey is designed to gather information relating to end-of-life vehicle and consumer white waste management in your jurisdiction.

This survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete.
Instructions
Most of the information should be available from your existing waste or environmental management agencies. However, some information will be easier to gather from other agencies such as customs and transport authorities.

Please fill in as much of the survey as possible in the spaces provided. If you do not have specific information for any question, please provide your best estimate. It would also be useful if you are able to provide any supporting documents you think may be useful (e.g. a link to your relevant legislation, or a PDF copy). You can send these resources to boris.lam@nceconomics.com

We recognise that not all of the questions might apply to your organisation and so you may skip those that do not apply.
