Online Community Building |
Introduction
On behalf of the European Commission and within the ISA programme, Deloitte is currently conducting a survey on the functioning of online communities present on the ePractice, OSOR, SEMIC and ELANET collaborative platforms. The idea is to better understand the needs and requirements of members of online communities of the above platforms in order to leverage the full potential of these tools. All the answers of this study will be translated later actions related to the online community building, moderation, support and management in order to better serve the online communities’ members.
This survey constitutes one of the inputs of the study entitled ‘Community Building and Effective Use of Collaborative Platforms’conducted by Deloitte on request of the EC. Other inputs are interviews with the online community facilitators and as well as online community observation and analysis combined with Deloitte expertise in the domain. The main objective of the study is to provide recommendations for the European Commission and the online community facilitators on how to support and manage online communities serving knowledge sharing around the interoperability in Europe.
