On Wednesday, October 15, over 600 entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders will gather to celebrate our state’s best and brightest young companies and entrepreneurs.
Our Awards program honors the skill and courage that it takes for entrepreneurs to create a business out of an idea. The Entrepreneurial Achievement Award goes to a top executive or founding team whose personal characteristics are the hallmarks of an accomplished entrepreneur.
Individuals or founding teams are considered eligible for the Award for Entrepreneurial Achievement if they found and/or operate a new for-profit enterprise or venture, assuming material risk and personal accountability for the venture’s survival. Individual nominees do not have to have been on the founding team, but do need to have assumed significant risk to their career and/or personal assets.
This award is not meant to honor a long career of achievement, but rather to recognize outstanding achievement in the last 18 months. You may nominate yourself or your founding team, or make a nomination on a person or team's behalf.
The information submitted within this Nomination Form will be treated as highly confidential and will be used solely by the Judging Committee. For an individual nominee or team to be considered, all information requested herein must be provided – only completed forms will be presented to the Judging Committee. OEN reserves the right to seek third-party verification of nominee information when deemed appropriate. The Judging Committee may schedule and conduct on-site interviews with the individual nominee and/or members of his/her management team as part of the process for evaluating said nominees. Those selected as finalists may be asked to provide additional information.
The deadline for receipt of completed nomination form is Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
NOTE: Finalists will be featured in a presentation at the awards celebration and must agree to be available for a personal interview with the Judging Committee as well as for a photo session in Portland in early September. The finalists must also commit to attending the awards celebration to be held Wednesday, October 15 at the Oregon Convention Center.
