Question Title

* 1. The Family Health Bureau (FHB) in the New Mexico Department of Health is required by federal law to periodically assess the health needs of New Mexican women and children. Based on this statewide assessment, the FHB will create a plan and work on addressing these needs over the next five years. In Federal Fiscal Year 2013, the $14.8 million Title V grant administered by the Family Health Bureau served over 211,639 New Mexican women and children.

Services paid by this grant include direct safety-net health care, family support services (e.g., transportation), population services (e.g., newborn screening), and capacity or infrastructure (e.g., evaluation and policy development).

The Maternal Health Program within the FHB would like your help and feedback in the planning of this 5-year Needs Assessment cycle. This voluntary survey asks 8 questions regarding maternal/women’s healthcare services, the ranking of related health indicators, and the impact of the Affordable Care Act.
