1. This survey is part of a research study conducted by Prof. Anind K. Dey at Carnegie Mellon University.

Purpose of this Study
As mobile phone use has become a common part of our lives in various activities, hence the goal of this study is to gather data on this use.

Procedures
In the course of the study, you will be asked to complete an online survey. The estimated time for the survey is ***20 minutes***, please make sure you take your time to focus when completing it!

Participant Requirements
Participation in this study is limited to individuals of age 18 and older, and who use a mobile phone.

Risks
The risks and discomfort associated with participation in this study are no greater than those ordinarily encountered in daily life or during other online activities.

Benefits
There may be no personal benefit from your participation in the study but the knowledge received may be of value to humanity.

Compensation & Costs
There is no compensation on completing this survey (as the first part of the "Android phone use study") and there will be no cost to you if you participate in this study.

Confidentiality
The data captured for the research does not include any personally identifiable information about you. Your IP address will not be captured.

By participating, you understand and agree that the data and information gathered during this study may be used by Carnegie Mellon and published and/or disclosed by Carnegie Mellon to others outside of Carnegie Mellon.
