Introduction

This survey, carried out by the PSHE Association on behalf of Mentor UK, is designed to inform the creation of the new Alcohol and Drugs Education and Prevention Information Service (ADEPIS). We need your help to ensure that this new service best supports schools and other practitioners working with young people. For more information on ADEPIS, see http://mentor-adepis.org/

The survey should only take 10 minutes to complete, but if you want to share more information with us use the open text boxes at the end or email adepis@mentoruk.org.

NB. Where we refer to 'drugs' or ‘drug education’ within this survey, this includes alcohol, tobacco, medicines, volatile substances and ‘legal highs’. Drug education may be substance-specific or developing the skills needed to manage risky situations. We are also interested in the wider work that schools do to provide a protective environment.

And to say thank you...

Everyone who completes the survey AND agrees to participate in a short follow-up interview of around 15 minutes (only a small proportion of these will actually be contacted) will be eligible for entry into a prize draw. The prize will be a choice of either PSHE Association CPD training (value= £230) or £125 of vouchers for sports equipment for your school.

There will also be a separate ‘early bird’ prize draw, open to the first ten respondents who fully complete the survey and agree to a follow-up conversation, with the same choice of prizes.

For any queries regarding the survey please email info@pshe-association.org.uk
