Community Energy Plus, the Cornwall-based charity which is dedicated to helping householders enjoy warmer, more energy efficient homes, is working in partnership with the Council of the Isles of Scilly to understand how electricity and heating costs affect islanders.
This is the first time that the whole population of all the islands have been asked to help build a picture of their energy use and is the start of three years of work by Community Energy Plus and the Council of the Isles of Scilly to establish the best ways to help islanders reduce their energy use and manage their energy costs with the added benefit of helping to reduce the islands’ carbon footprint.
We appreciate that the islands are a unique environment with their own issues so we don’t want to make assumptions about how individual households are affected by rising energy costs. The purpose of this survey is to identify the key energy issues and how best to help those in most need. We hope that the results of this survey will shape, and help secure funding for, future energy efficiency projects on the Isles of Scilly.
This survey can also be accessed and completed online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/islesofscillyhouseholds
Your response to the survey would be appreciated before 31st January 2013.
