Introduction

Over the last 6 months we have consulted with a wide range of information producers to identify principles and associated best practice that will help everyone to create information that works. You can read full details about the consultation process here: http://www.pifonline.org.uk/about-us/what-we-do/current-pif-projects/

This survey

In this next stage of the project we are asking PiF members to comment on the principles and best practice that were identified during the consultation, and tell us whether you agree or disagree with them.

We would also like you to tell us what sort of resources you would like us to create, to best support information producers to follow the guidance and put the main principles into practice.

This survey focuses on the principles and guidance associated with ensuring health information is accurate. Two further surveys over the next few weeks will look at readability and relevance/impact.

Please also note that the consultation process identified three other areas of practice where guidelines were felt to be needed: working with and involving users, evaluating information and its impact and developing different formats. We will be developing guidance on these areas too, and will give you an opportunity to contribute to shaping these in the future, so bear this in mind when you're responding to this survey, which looks at accuracy only.

The survey is currently open to PiF members only. It should take no more than 15 minutes to complete the survey, though you might want more time to think about and reflect on the principles. You can leave the survey and come back to it, if you use the same computer.

Your input and comments are a vitally important part of shaping the guidance - these are expert guidelines after all!

To take part in the survey you must confirm that you are a PiF member. We are asking you to tell us your name, organisation and email address too, so that we can come back to you if we have queries and so we know which organisations have taken part.

The survey closes on 19 September 2014

Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey. If you have any questions contact Claire Murray at claire.murray@pifonline.org.uk
