PECAT Introduction

MSD of Pike Township and the Indiana State Department of Health will hold a Health Education Curriculum Analysis Tool (HECAT) workshop. The HECAT is an assessment tool that helps schools conduct a clear, complete, and consistent analysis of health education curricula based on national education standards. The HECAT was developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Division of Adolescent and School Health, in partnership with health education experts representing state education agencies, school districts, schools, colleges, and national organizations.

At the workshop, a trained HECAT instructor will instruct school teams on how to complete the HECAT. School personnel from across the state are invited to attend this day as well.
