Our organisation has been gifted with land in Grimsby with the stipulation that the and is to be used for community and social purposes. Our aim to design and develop a large scale project on the land which will incorporate several new community buildings supporting new activities / learning facilities and exhibition / visitor areas throughout the site.

GHoPA will also extend its provision and specialist intensive support to many more the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people and their families in the N E Lincolnshire region.
Our vision is to incorporate renewable / alternative energy in building design, operating and construction processes. We wish to identify, plan and incorporate alternative sources of energy throughout the whole of the site including the use of solar, wind, geothermal and biomass.

We believe the project has the potential to have a major impact on the health and wellbeing of a wide section of the community and we need your help to make sure that we maximise this opportunity.

Large areas of the site will feature natural and to be designed wildlife habitats with a number of family based leisure facilities. A visitor center will be part of our vision which will be designed to provide specialist learning support. The center will feature a cafe / restaurant servicing our visitors with food grown on the site and which would also provide training and work placements.

It is a concern that our small organisation on its own may not able to deliver and derive all of the benefits that the land may be able to offer and therefore we are keen to encourage other agencies and organisations to get involved with the project. We would welcome your views and hopefully your involvement!
