Healthcare Business Informatics Interest Survey

Introduction

 
Gaston College is in the process of exploring the need for an Associate Degree Healthcare Business Informatics program. The program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for employment in the healthcare environment with regards to installation, data management, data archiving/retrieval, system design and support, and computer training for medical information systems.

Graduates should qualify for employment opportunities in healthcare settings including medical offices, hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and insurance companies as database/data warehouse analysts, technical support professionals, informatics technology professionals, systems analysts, networking and security technicians, and computer maintenance professionals.
