The Food Loss & Waste Protocol (FLW Protocol) is a multi-stakeholder effort to develop the global standard for measuring food loss and waste. Interested stakeholders will have several opportunities to contribute to development of the FLW Protocol over the next two years.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest to participate in the Technical Working Groups and External Review Group.

Technical Working Groups will be responsible for developing the technical content of the FLW Protocol. Two Technical Working Groups have been created - one will focus upstream on food losses closer at the agricultural level and a second will focus downstream, on mid-stream food waste through to consumer waste. Subgroups may be created based on the needs of each Group.

The External Review Group will be asked for input and given updates on a rolling basis by the Steering Committee and Technical Working Groups through email group lists and leveraging pre-existing meetings of relevant stakeholders.

Please reference the "Call for Participation” document for a complete description of the purpose and commitment of these groups.
