ASIS Faculty Application

As the leader in professional development and certification preparation for security professionals, ASIS seeks experienced facilitators, speakers, and subject matter experts on foundational and topical subject areas to deliver content in a variety of formats throughout the year.  ASIS has expanded its education and training portfolio to not only offer live programs, but also online workshops, training, and virtual study groups to meet the needs of ASIS members, nonmembers, and certification candidates where they are and at a time convenient for them. 

If you are a seasoned facilitator with an interest in sharing your subject matter expertise with ASIS members and the security community, please review this application in its entirety and complete the application when you are ready. 

Note: ASIS facilitators are paid an honorarium for delivery of live learning courses and virtual certification study groups. All facilitators are awarded 3 CPE’s for every hour of presentation.

  • Recognize that facilitating a course/virtual study group for ASIS is a formal commitment that must be honored; I hereby acknowledge that I will avoid cancelling.
  • Contribute proactively to the development of exceptional quality content, where requested.
  • Work to ensure course development and presentation deadlines are met, where applicable.
  • Attend scheduled meetings (online or face-to-face), when requested.
  • Participate actively; engagement and communication are required.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) reviewing technical details of the presentation through completion, when requested.
  • Work with co-facilitators and HQ staff to deliver high-quality content free of any sales pitches.
  • Demonstrate a welcoming, friendly and supportive attitude toward participants.
  • Conduct myself in a professional manner and not engage in any behavior or language that, if it occurred in the workplace, would be considered unlawful harassment or discrimination based on protected categories, such as gender, race, sex, religion, disability and any other codified protected categories in the jurisdiction where the course is presented.
  • Not disparage or defame any person or product.
  • Not present anything that could be construed to be a commercial endorsement, product promotion or a solicitation for business.

I further acknowledge and understand that failure to meet participation expectations may result in termination.
