TAXI UNMET DEMAND SURVEY - STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATION

We thank you in advance for taking a few minutes to complete the survey. The results of the survey will be used to improve taxi services and ensure taxi provision in Trafford best meets the needs of users in Trafford. The purpose of the survey is to identify issues with taxi services, which could be improved and also to identify features of the taxi services in Trafford which are working well. If there are any points or issues not covered by the questionnaire, but which you would like to offer an opinion on, please feel free to add further comments.

This survey relates to taxis in Trafford. The Taxi fleet consists of Private Hire Vehicles and Hackney Carriages. There are some differences in how these two types of taxis are allowed to operate. Hackney Carriages are allowed to pick up passengers in the street and at ranks. Private hire vehicles must be pre –booked. Note, Private Hire Vehicles may also be known as mini-cabs.

Most questions relate to all types of taxis. However, some questions relate specifically to Hackney Carriages only.
