Dear faculty, students, staff and residents at the UVM College of Medicine:
The University of Vermont College of Medicine values diversity as a driver of excellence. It is part of our mission to actively seek diversity and inclusion within our academic community of students, faculty, and staff, as well as those we serve through teaching, research, patient care and community engagement.
Over the last year, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Dean's Advisory Committee on Diversity & Inclusion have developed a comprehensive plan to inform and engage our faculty, staff and students. In order to create benchmarks for our programs and gain a more thorough understanding of our community as a whole, we have developed a brief demographic survey we plan to conduct each year. This survey contains just 13 questions and will take approximately 3-5 minutes to complete. Your participation is completely voluntary and anonymous, and all data will be reported in aggregate form.
In addition to providing a snapshot of our community members, the results will be used to assess how the College of Medicine is achieving our diversity and inclusion goals.
The survey will remain active through February 15th.
If you have any questions, please contact me or Tiffany Delaney at firstname.lastname@example.org or (802) 656-2267.
Thanks again for your participation.
