The Institute for a Sustainable Environment works each year to quantify Clarkson University total greenhouse gas emissions. This year the inventory is especially important to meet the requirements that President Tony Collins committed to when he signed the President’s Climate Commitment in April 2014.
Commuting habits of students, faculty, and staff contribute to the consumption of fossil fuels on campus. An accurate estimate of miles driven and fuel consumed will help to improve the accuracy of our greenhouse gas inventory.
