Building Stronger Centers– This training is designed for providers considering a major renovation or construction project. It will cover high quality design and the details of the process and what you need to know to succeed -- including a step by step guide to the development process, how to incorporate energy efficient systems and “green” equipment and materials, project management, cost estimating and capital budgets, capital financing, and capital campaigns. (4 days, Dec. 8-12, 2014)
Let’s Take it Outside-- Content includes elements of high quality active outdoor play and/or natural play spaces, outdoor classrooms, new EEC policies for outdoor space, a description of the design and construction process, and how to complete a project on time and on budget. You will learn how to use an architect and project manager and how to budget for the project and raise capital funds. (1 day - Spring, 2015)
