CIES Membership Vote - Proposed Constitutional Changes |
Introduction
At the March 2014 meeting of the CIES Board of Directors, a motion was approved to change the position of Historian, Secretary and Treasurer from presidentially appointed to elected positions. In part these changes are necessary because of the changes to the hosting arrangement for the CIES Secretariat. The Society now engages a professional management company rather than a secretariat based at a University where academics were appointed as secretary and treasurer.
Therefore, the CIES Board has approved the four amendments to our Constitution, and is asking the CIES membership to vote on them.
Each question requires a two-thirds approval vote of the membership to pass. For each proposed amendment you may vote For, Against, or Abstain. Voting will take place for three (3) months, ending on 27 November 2014.
