The Hills Shire Council is currently investigating potential future uses for the Castle Hill Showground to become a major leisure and open space precinct.
The site has also been nominated to be part of the NSW Government's Urban Activation Precinct program which means the Department of Planning will be considering how the Showground can be upgraded as a essential recreation space for the community.
The proposed outcome of these studies will be a master plan that provides for better facilities for existing user groups, while opening up the area to new community users.
