Introduction
This survey stems from the Bracebridge Business Improvement Area("BIA") and Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce revitalization strategy and we are inviting the community to take approximately 20 minutes of your time to comment on your perception of the Downtown and its businesses. All information is private and confidential and will assist these organizations in developing futures goals and objectives.
The BIA is comprised of all commercial property and business owners along Manitoba St. from Ontario St. to just past Monck Rd. and includes several side streets. We are approx 200 members strong and have diverse mix of members which include; retail, restaurant, hotel, specialty services and professional services. The BIA oversees the beautification and maintenance of municipally owned land, buildings and structures beyond that provided by the municipality and promotes the area as business and shopping district. Activities inlcude special events, streetscape improvements and marketing.
Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce primary function is to act as a spokesperson for the business and professional community and translate into action the group thinking of its members, and render specific services, of a type, that can be most effectively rendered by a community organization, both to its members and the community as a whole.They are an action agency designed to meet business community needs. It is a voluntary organization of individuals and businesses who join together to advance the commercial, financial, industrial and civic interest of our community.
