Bike Commuter Choice

Bike Commuter Choice Thresholds

As we come to the end of the fiscal year, we wanted to request your input on the bike commuter choice program. As you know, the thresholds for riding were lowered during the pandemic and those thresholds will be in place through the rest of this fiscal year (6/30/22).  We will be readjusting them beginning with the start of Q3 of 2022.  We want the program to both support and incentivize your cycling to Mason.  There are just a few questions about your riding patterns and use of the complimentary permits.  We appreciate your time and suggestions!
1.How have your commuting patterns changed this academic year versus your commuting patterns pre-pandemic?
Prior to March 2020
Spring 2022
What percentage of your working hours are you on campus as compared to pre-pandemic?

2.On average, how many days per month have you been working on campus this academic year?
3.On average, how many days per month have you been riding your bike to campus this academic year?
4.As background, permits you earn through the bike commuter choice program are not transferable.  They are for your use only. Policy  1108: Motor Vehicle Parking. With that in mind, how many permits do you typically use in a month?
5.What should happen to the parking passes you accrue that are not used in a given year?
