Cefas and the Environment Agency are working with the Angling Trust to develop a free electronic logbook (smartphone app) which will help you record your fishing experiences. This five minute questionnaire is your chance to help create a design that will be valuable to you. We want you to tell us what data you want this app to store and what features to build.
By recording data you will have the opportunity to contribute to scientific research: we intend to use the app as a reporting platform for a Citizen Science project starting in 2015. The data collected will help us to improve fishery and fish health management, monitor changes in biodiversity and impacts of fish diseases, non-native species and climate change. To do this we need to know what data you regularly collect and what you’d be willing to share with us.
