A level and AS level Reform Consultation |
Dear colleague
Ofqual have launched a consultation on the proposed changes to A levels and the AS level qualification. The consultation is seeking views on the design, assessment and regulation of the revised A levels and AS qualifications in the following fourteen subjects: biology; chemistry; physics; English language; English literature; English language and literature; geography; history; psychology; sociology; art & design; business; economics and computer science. First teaching of these subjects will commence in September 2015 with A level mathematics, further mathematics and modern foreign languages to follow in September 2016. SFCA will be responding to the Ofqual consultation on behalf of the sector. We have developed a short survey for colleges to complete which should take only 5-10 minutes to complete. It is very important that all Colleges complete the survey so that the Association can accurately reflect the views of the sector.
It would be very much appreciated if you could complete the survey by Monday 23rd December.
If you are planning to submit your own response to the consultation, it would also be very helpful if you could share a copy with us before doing so. Please email it to deepa.jethwa@sixthformcolleges.org
