The Scottish Women's Convention (SWC) is funded to engage with women throughout Scotland in order to ensure that their views influence public policy. The issue of women's employment has frequently been discussed at SWC roadshows and round table events. The SWC have also held two successful conferences on Women and Employment, the first looking at the challenges faced by women in Scotland today and the second discussing positive working practices and what these mean for women.
The SWC is undertaking this survey to gather further specific information on employment for older women in Scotland. As well as a survey, a conference will be held to further explore this issue on Saturday 6th April 2013, at the Menzies Hotel in Glasgow.
