CSR - Tax Volunteer Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in volunteering to help with Free Tax Preparation for the clients served by Louisville Metro Community Services and Revitalization (CSR).

We are looking for several individuals to serve as volunteer Tax Preparers for the VITA program (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) at the Urban Government Center, 810 Barret Avenue.

After completing a short training, you can help prepare simple tax returns, answer tax law questions and verify documentation is valid. We're looking for volunteers to work on Mondays or Tuesdays during the month of February 2014 between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

At this time, we are not asking for a commitment but rather just gathering a list of interested individuals so that we may send you more detailed information.

* 1. In addition to Tax Preparers, CSR is also recruiting other volunteer positions to help at our VITA site. Please check if you are interested in one or more options below:

Tax Preparer (Help to prepare simple tax returns)

Intake Specialist (Greet tax clients, verify identification, make sure client has all needed documentation, determine eligibility, etc.)

Greeter (Greet tax clients, make sure they are signed in, verify identification, give list of required documentation to clients, manage waiting room)
