* 1. Welcome to our free teacher training program! All of us with GITC- our small staff, the faculty, our board members and volunteers all welcome you to an experience we trust will add value and joy to your life and your work! We are so glad to be able to offer this class to you.

People ask how we can manage this program when the cost of training a single teacher for 6-8 weeks comes to just under $100, and the value of each guitar loaned to teachers runs in the range of $300-$500. The other musical supplies you will receive to keep would cost you approximately $45 were you to buy them at the music store. We do not have any major corporate underwriting or major benefactors. But our sponsors are very, very excited that you want to make music and lead music at school, and they are glad to help GITC make it possible as much as they can. Still, we're working very hard to keep things going these days as you can probably imagine.

If you wish to contribute to covering a portion of the costs associated with your training by making a charitable, tax deductible donation to Guitars in the Classroom, we'd really appreciate your participation in this way. Thank you for considering helping us out at whatever level is comfortable if possible. Every dollar makes a difference. If not, please know we are really happy to have you in class. With GITC, your growing musicality matters most of all.
