The questionnaire builds on previous work carried out in 2006/7 which was used to inform a book in 2010, 'The Survival Guide for Newly-qualified Child and Family Social Workers'.

This questionnaire has emerged from our continuing interest in the education and training and personal and professional development of front line social workers and your responses will be used to influence the development of national policy and practice through presentations at professional and academic forums and publications. Some of the questions are designed to provide comparisons with similar data collected in a survey carried out at the BASW Student Conference in 2011, helping to identify what has changed over the past 12 months. Others, focusing on some of the practice implications of the Professional Capabilities Framework and the Standards for Employers and Supervision Framework, will broaden our understanding of the ways in which these new developments are being implemented by employers and becoming embedded in practice. An initial summary of the findings will be available via the univesity and BASW websites this autumn.

Please remember that all responses and individual data are completely anonymous.

Thank you very much for taking the time to complete the survey. Your help is much appreciated - and please remember to register for the PRIZE DRAW!
