You have been directed to this website because the Department of Revenue has received information that you are a manufacturer, and you are therefore statutorily required to respond to these questions. (W.S. 39-15-105(b))
A manufacturer is one who produces a new product, article, substance or commodity different from and having a distinctive nature, character or use from the raw or prepared material. Manufacturers include bakeries, tailors, commercial printers (without publishing), saddle makers, sawmills and machine shops to name just a few.
The next few pages will walk you through the process of establishing whether or not you are a manufacturer under Wyoming law, and if so, documenting your qualifying exempt machinery purchases. For those who have filled this out in the past, you no longer need to submit wage, benefit or turnover information.
