Impact of ICD-10-CM Implementation on Provider Practice

NOTE: Continuing Medical Education Credits (CME Credit) is only available to physicians participating in the CentrEast or Rural and Community Health Institute (RCHI) programs.

Purpose: The latest research indicates that the new ICD-10-CM codes will impact provider practice, including documentation and patient quality of care initiatives. With an expected implementation date of October 1, 2013, the purpose of the presentation is to educate providers on necessary documentation changes required for the new ICD-10-CM codes, as well as anticipated effects upon patient quality of care initiatives.
