Community Gardens

Community gardens are vegetable or flower gardens where one or more individuals or households work at the site. The land can be publicly or privately owned. These gardens are common in Topeka as accessory uses on a site, e.g. with a school, church, or non-profit agency. However, they are currently not permitted under the City's zoning regulations as a stand-alone or primary use on a vacant lot.
